Diljit Dosanjh is one of the celebrities who has kept his personal life away from the media glare, refraining from sharing photos or any otherdetails of his family. However, for the first time in his decade-long career, the Punjabi singer has introduced his family to the world.
As part of his Dil-Luminati Tour, the singer is currently touring across the United Kingdom. And, during his recent gig in Manchester, the singer as a surprise move introduced his mother and sister to the world.
A video from his recent concert shows the ''Lover'' singer walking in the crowd while performing his emotional track ''Haas Haas'' ashehugs an elderly woman.
After singing a few verses, ''Dil tenu de ditta main taan soneya, Jaan tere kadma ch rakhi hoyi,''Diljit proudly tells the crowd that the woman he has hugged is his mother.
Diljit hugged his mom again and proudly raised her hand. Looking at him, his mother was moved to tears.
After bowing down to his mother, the singer moves forward and introduces his sister, who wasstanding beside their mother. He says, ''She is my sister. Today, my family is here.”
The jam-packed crowd lauded Diljit with cheers and claps.

In his career spanning 15 years, Diljit Dosanjh has never introduced his family to the world. However, Diljit has talked about how his bond with his family got strained after he was sent to live with his uncle at a very young age.
During his interview with Ranveer Allahabadia, the singer said, “I was eleven years old when I left my home and started living with my mamaji (maternal uncle). I came to the city leaving my village behind. I shifted to Ludhiana. He said, ‘Send him to the city with me’ and my parents said, ‘Yes, take him.’ My parents did not even ask me.”
Talking about his parents, Diljit said, “I respect my mother a lot. My father is a very sweet person. He did not ask me anything. He did not even ask which school I studied. But my connection with them broke. Not just with them, with everyone.”
Diljit will bebringing his Dil-Luminati Tour 2024 to India in October. He will be performing in cities like Delhi (October 26), Hyderabad (November 15), Ahmedabad (November 17), Lucknow (November 22), Pune (November 24), Kolkata (November 30), Bengaluru (December 6), Indore (December 8), Chandigarh (December 14), and Guwahati (December 29).
