Andrew Garfield and Kate Tomas are no longer together. On Saturday, Tomas casually revealed that she and the Spider-Man actor have broken up.

On Saturday, Oct 12, the self-proclaimed philosopher shared the news of their split while reacting to a comment on her Instagram. 

A curious fan asked Tomas about her relationship status. Commenting on her post, one fan asked, ''Are you still dating Andrew Garfield? If so, tell him I’m a fan of him, please. Thank you.”

Reacting to the comment, Tomas wrote, “We broke up months ago.” She added, “But I’m sure he will be happy to know that he is loved ?❤️.”

On the same post, another user asked, ''Will you ever stop talking about Andrew?'' To this, she replied, “Sweetheart, the only people who ever talk about or centre a man in my life, work, business and social media are women like you.”

Garfield and Tomas ended their brief relationship reportedly after a few months of dating. The romance rumours began in March when they were seen holding hands during their public outings. Later, they attended the 2024 Wimbledon Tennis Championships in England together. They also went on a double date with Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham at a restaurant in California.

Garfield, who has always refrained from talking about his personal affairs, has not yet reacted to the news.

The actor is known for keeping his relationship away from the media glare. In 2021, he told Bustle, "I'm not in the public eye to a great degree because I’ve designed it that way for myself," he said at the time. "For my work, I'm fine with it, but otherwise I fight for my right to a private, personal life. My right to be ordinary. My right to be a mess. My right to be sorrowful. My right to lose, to get it wrong, to be stupid, to be a person."
