Virat Kohli has taken over the mantle of ODI, T20 captaincy from MS Dhoni, but the new skipper has a lot to prove against Eoin Morgan's England.
Virat has not exactly excelled against England in ODIs played at home averaging just 52(check) in ..... matches, as against MS Dhoni who averages 55 in 22 ODI matches against Morgan's England at home.
MS Dhoni has led India in 16 ODIs against England since 2008 at home averaging nearly 60(59.22) scoring 533 runs, even though the former ODI captain failed to score a ton against England. In T-20s, Dhoni has led India on just 3 occasions scoring 83 runs at an average of 41 runs. Virat has also played in 3 T-20s against England at home, averaging a poor 24 with 38 as his highest score.
In fact, Kohli has a fight on his hands as England have won 2 matches and lost just 1 T-20 match in India, even though they played very few T20 matches last year which Virat can capitalise on with several T-20 specialists in Team India. England did manage to reach the T-20 World Cup finals last year where Carlos Brathwaite 4 sixes in the last year destroyed England's hopes of lifting the Cup for the second time.
