Jitesh Sharma, meanwhile, went to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for INR 11 crore ($ 1.3 million approx).

KKR bought two keeper-batters in Quinton de Kock (INR 3.6 crore) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (INR 2 crore) while Phil Salt was bagged by RCB for INR 11.5 crore.

Glenn Maxwell, meanwhile, joined countrymate Marcus Stoinis at Punjab Kings for INR 4.2 crore.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) broke the bank for Venkatesh Iyer and got the left-hand batter for a huge sum of INR 23.75 crore ($2.8 million).

Chennai Super Kings get local boy Ravichandran Ashwin for INR 9.75 crore ($1.15 million).

Delhi Capitals successfully bid for Jake Fraser-McGurk for INR 9 crore.

Australia great and fearsome opener David Warner, in a surprising move, went unsold on day 1 of IPL mega auction.

Delhi Capitals bag England batter Harry Brook for INR 6.25 crore ($740,000).

CSK also got Kiwi batter Devon Conway for the same price.

Delhi Capitals have KLRahul as he stays in North India in a deal worth $1.7mn. Have DC have got the bargain buy?

Gujarat Titans have gort thier man as Kagiso Rabada is sold to the IPL 2022 champions for $1.2mn. 

Arshdeep Singh retained by Punjab Kings for $2.1mn despite interest from SRH and other teams. 

The auction will proceed in the following order: Marquee Lots, followed by lunch, then Capped Batters, All-Rounders, and Wicketkeepers. This will be followed by a 15-minute break. Next, Capped Bowlers will go under the hammer, followed by another 10-minute break. 

The bidding starts at 3:30 PM IST as futures of Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and other big names will be decided in Saudi Arabia.
