Truck driver kills pedestrian while playing Pokemon Go in Japan

A truck driver in Japan playing Pokemon Go while driving hit two pedestrains, killing one and injuring the other.

This was the first death reported in Japan with regard to the Nontendo Co game.

The driver was arrested for negligent driving on Wednesday evening, the Tokushima prefectual police informed. A decision on his prosecution has not been made yet.

A spokesperson for Naintic, Pokemon Go developer, said that the company had added a pop-up to the game screen last month to dissuade the player from driving the moment the speed increased.

The popularity of the across the world has increased crowds in parks and public places as users search for monsters in the game.

Various sign boards have been installed in Japan asking users to avoid creating nuisance.
