PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi has been included in US President-elect Donald Trump's Strategic and Policy Forum.

The forum will advise the president on job creation and government policies in a "frank" and "non-partisan" manner. 

Nooyi is the lone Indian-origin executive in the 19-member forum.

"America has the most innovative and vibrant companies in the world, and the pioneering CEOs joining this Forum today are at the top of their fields," Mr Trump said.

The other big names part of the team are: Uber chairman Travis Kalanick, Tesla chairman Elon Musk and General Motors' Mary Barra.

Chennai-born Nooyi heads PepsiCo, a company that posted a $63 billion in annual net revenue.

Trump will take over the presidency on January 20, 2017.
