Indian student dies, another critical in hurricane-ravaged Texas

A 24-year-old Indian student has succumbed to his injuries after he was rescued from Lake Bryan in Texas which was battered by Hurricane Harvey.
Nikhil Bhatia along with another Indian girl Shalini Singh had gone for swimming at Lake Bryan when the waters in the lake swelled.
Bhatia was a student of Texas A&M University.
The Indian girl Shalini Singh is said to be in a critical condition.
Bhatia, who hails from Jaipur, was brought to the hospital along with Shalini Singh in a critical condition.
The Consul General of India in Houston is keeping a track of their medical condition.
Texas has seen record flooding in the wake of powerful Hurricane Harvey which dumped record downpour in the city of Houston.
At least 200 Indian students trapped in the Houston University were being evacuated to safety.
