At least 12 were killed, including two children in three landslides in Bali, destroying several homes, Indonesia's National Agency for Disaster Management said on Friday.

Members of two families were among those killed, including a 1-year-old boy, his brother (7) and their mother.

"All victims have been evacuated and the injured have been taken to hospital," said Indra Kalak, an agency official in Bali.

The incident occurred at around 11 pm Thursday night in Bangli district's Kintamani area.

The agency said it was caused due to torrential rains.

More heavy rains are expected and there is a possibility of landslides and floods, the agency warned.

A search and rescue operation is underway.
