Taylor Swift has been in news ever since she debuted her latest single's video on the day of MTV Video Music Awards ceremony. Her song not only raked up in controversy for a more than what-meets-the-eye video conceptualisation and lyrics but is industry's most record-breaking song.
The song has broken the record for first day streaming, with nearly 8 million plays in its first 24 hours. Also, it broke records when premiered on VMAs with 43.2 million views within 24 hours of release.
Riding high on the success, Swift is, however, in the middle of things with an episode of disgruntled fans.
This weekend, when Swift visited Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, she wanted to keep things hidden from the public eye. She was visiting the town as a bridesmaid at close friend Abigail Anderson’s wedding to photographer Matt Lucier at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown.
But the moment her fans got the wind to her presence in the town, they rounded up in large numbers outside the church.
As Swift was ready to leave the church, her security guards help up two black sheets to block any view of the celebrity--which didnt go down too well with the crowd.
The crowd started booing her when they couldn't see her at all.
One fan was heard shouting: “Taylor, we thought you loved your fans!” while someone else retorted, “very disappointing, not cool.”
