A woman hurled racist abuse at another passenger of Asian origin on a train in the Republic of Ireland, UK's daily mail online reported.

The abusive remarks was recorded by another passenger and it was uploaded on twitter.

The row began when the woman objected to an Asian passenger placing a bag on an empty seat.

The woman brazenly declared, 'hadn't paid for four seats' and yelled, "respect my f***ing country and get off the seats."

At that moment another Asian passenger intervenes and calls her an 'old lady' which really angers her and then the conversation goes out of hand.

"What did you call me? An old lady? F*** off back to India. F*** off,' she says.

Just then another passenger tries to calm matters but the woman hits back saying: "Look at the ugly head of that fella. That's the only reason he's backing you up is because he's ugly."

The Irish rail operator, Iarnród Éireann told daily mail it was "a shocking and disgraceful incident".
