A loud explosion was heard in a building in St Petersburg in Russia, no casualties were reported, news agencies reported.
Explosives were found the apartment earlier in the day, agencies said. No one was hurt in the explosion but a vehicle was damaged by falling masonry, news agency RIA said, citing a source in Russia's emergencies ministry.
St Petersburg was struck by a metro blast on Monday killing 14 people, police have since carried out several raids in nearby residential areas, including the house of the main accused Akbarzhon Jalilov who police say was the suicide bomber behind the blast at the metro station.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the blast that tore through a subway carriage on Monday.
