The two blasts in a shopping mall follow a series of blasts that rocked the capital city in the last few months
Two bomb blasts in a shopping mall in Iraq’s central Baghdad killed at least 13 people and injured more than 30 on Friday night.
One explosion came from a parked car and another was caused by a suicide bomber in a vehicle outside Nakheel mall on Palestine street, the police informed.
The blast also shattered windows of nearby structures.
Shops in the mall were likely to be open until late in the night ahead of Eid al-Adha festival on Monday.
No one claimed immediate responsibility for Friday’s bombing but the Islamic State had said that it had carried out the previous attacks in Baghdad’s shopping centres.
A car bomb had killed seven people on Tuesday in Baghdad’s Karrada district and another suicide bombing in July had left more than 300 people dead.
