A 1939 Luxury Mercedes limousine which used to drive Adolf Hitler around in Germany during the World War II, will be auctioned in Arizona in United States.

The auction is being organised by Worldwide Auctioneers, who haven't revealed the current owner's identity.

The auction will take place on Wednesday, January 17 in a city's classic car event.

The historic car is one of only four such models ever built and is expected to sell for millions of dollars.

Known as "Super Mercedes" is powered with the 7.7-litre supercharged engine and is capable of exceeding 100 mph.

The car has already been bought by European collector in 2002 then to a Russian billionaire in 2009.

According to reports, the car is fully functional and will be driven out for an auction on Wednesday.

The car fell into disuse after Hitler was defeated in France.

According to the reports, 10% of the amount in which the car will be sold, will be donated and used to educate how and why the holocaust happened and how to effectively prevent such atrocities in the future.
