The wreckage of the Air Force helicopter that went missing yesterday has been found near Chopoyoha, in Arunachal Pradesh's Papum Pare district, PTI reports, citing IGP (Law & Order) Nabin Payeng.
A policeman as well as three crew members were on board. Media reports say there is no information available on whether there are any survivors.
The Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) of the IAF had gone missing shortly after takeoff, at about 3:50 pm yesterday. The weather yesterday where the helicopter was flying was described as "inclement" by Payeng.
The helicopter had gone on a rescue mission to help people stranded by landslides caused by heavy rains.
