Sinha is the minister of state (Independent Charge) of communications and minister of state for railways
Manoj Kumar Sinha's name is being pitched for the post of Uttar Pradesh chief minister, where the Bharatiya Janata Party won a landslide victory with a three-fourth majority.
Sinha currently holds two positions—minister of state (Independent Charge) of communications and minister of state for railways. He is also a member of the Lok Sabha representing Ghazipur.
He has been a member of BJP national council from 1989 to 1996.
In the 13th Lok Sabha,Sinha was praised for a very high attendance.
In his capacity as the minister of state for railways, Sinha announced a Rs 250 crore package for the improvement of facilities and the expansion of Cantt Railway Station in Varanasi.
