Voting in Uttar Pradesh's Alapur constituency in Ambedkar Nagar district is underway.

The election in this constituency was to happen in the fifth phase on February 27 but was deferred due to the death of the Samajwadi Party candidate Chandrashekhar Kanaujia.

Voting has also started in Uttarakhand's Karnaprayag constituency, which was postponed after the BSP candidate from the seat Kuldeep Singh Kanwasi died in a road accident.

Elections to the last phase ended yesterday in Uttar Pradesh.

Results of the assembly elections in five states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Manipur, Goa and Uttarakhand will be announced on March 11.
