The chairman of The Viral Fever has been booked on sexual harassment charges
A chairman of an online entertainment channel, who was booked on sexual harassment charges on Wednesday (March 29), has gone missing, according to sources in the police department.
Unnamed police sources told India Today that Arunabh Kumar, the CEO of The Viral Fever -- popularly known as TVF, cannot be found.
The police were expected to send summons to Kumar on Thursday, but haven't been able to locate him.
Kumar has been accused by several women of sexual harassment.
The first woman to blame him wrote about her experiences on a blog, writing that she was harassed by Kumar when she was working with the TVF between 2014 and 2016.
A wave of allegations by different women then followed suit.
Finally, a woman -- whose identity has been kept a secret -- lodged a formal complaint with the police. She accused Kumar of touching her inappropriately during a job interview last year.
Kumar's company had initially backed him vociferously but succumbed to public outrage and later promised to investigate all allegations.
