Three militants killed in Pakistan's Quetta

Three militants of a banned outfit were killed in an encounter with security personnel in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province on Friday.

The militants were killed after security personnel conducted a raid following intelligence reports that some militants were hiding in the Hazar Ganj area of Quetta.

"When the Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers raided a house the militants hiding there opened fire on them. In the exchange three militants were killed and two FC soldiers wounded," said a spokesman of Frontier Corps.

The killing of the militants comes after major attacks in Quetta this week.

Over 70 people, mostly lawyers, were killed and over a 100 others injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up at the entrance of the Civil Hospital.
