In a big achievement for security forces, three terrorists belonging to Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed were killed in an encounter in Kashmir's Tral.

The bodies of all three terrorists have been recovered along with weapons, a police official said, according to a PTI report.

The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area after receiving information about the presence of terrorists there.

"The killing of the militants is a major setback for the outfit which is trying to revive its activities in the valley," the official said.

The security forces exercised maximum restraint while dealing with the stone pelters who tried to disrupt the operation to help the terrorists flee the spot.
