The principal of St Xavier's College, Kolkata, Father Felix Raj was summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Rose Valley chit fund scam on Thursday.

Raj appeared before the CBI officials at the Complex Government Offices Complex in Kolkata for questioning.

Sources in the CBI reveal the main accused in the Rose Valley chit fund scam, Gautam Kundu, who was also the chairman of the Rose Valley Group had made a donation of Rs 71,00,000 for the admission of his son.

Officials of CBI will examine his role in the huge amount paid to the college as a donation.

Two days ago, CBI arrested Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Bandhyapadhyay on charges of money laundering.
