Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, today, said that Sharad Yadav, who has questioned the party's alliance with the BJP, is free to take his own decisions.

The Bihar chief minister also said that the decision to go with the BJP had the nod of the entire party.

"He (Yadav) is free to take his decision. As far as the party is concerned, it has already taken its decision. The decision was not mine alone and it was taken with the consent of the party. If he keeps a different opinion, then he is free to do so," Nitish said.

He was speaking to reporters after meeting the Prime Minister on his first visit to Delhi after breaking ties with the RJD and the Congress.

Sharad Yadav, who is on a tour of Bihar, has hit out at the decision of the Nitish Kumar to go with the BJP.

The Rajya Sabha member of parliament (MP) from JD(U) had earlier said that the decision to ally with the BJP and split the Mahagathbandhan has betrayed the trust of those who voted for us and it has hurt him.
