Pakistan’s new cabinet was sworn-in on Friday after the country’s new Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi took  charge.

The 44-member cabinet includes the first Hindu in the country's government in more than 20 years.

65-year-old Darshan Lal is a doctor from Sindh’s Mirpur Mathelo. He was elected to the national assembly on a reserved seat for minorities on PML-N ticket in 2013.

He will be heading coordination between four provinces, The Times of India reported.
