In yet another incident of mob violence six people were thrashed Saturday by a mob for allegedly carrying buffalo calves in Delhi's Baba Haridas Nagar.

According to ANI, a mob vandalised six vehicles carrying buffalo calves and assaulted three drivers.

One of the drivers, Ali Jaan, has been admitted to the hospital with severe injuries while others were discharged from the hospital.

An FIR has been lodged against the attackers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had strongly rebuked those who kill people in the name of cow protection in a speech on June 29.

His criticism came in the wake of increasing incidents of mob violence in the name of cow protection.

The Prime Minister had delivered a similar message last year also but it did not seem to have any impact on the number of incidents of mob violence related to beef.
