The Tamil Nadu police is not investigating the death of one of the accountants of Jayalalithaa’s Kodanad estate, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) said on Wednesday.

Dinesh Kumar was found hanging from the ceiling of his house in Kothagiri under mysterious circumstances on Monday.
 
DMK leader TKS Elangovan accused the police of not investigating the matter properly.
 
"The police say there is nothing fishy and that the man died due to some ailment. They did not even investigate the matter properly. No postmortem was done. I am sure that the police have been instructed to not investigate the matter by someone very powerful in the state government,' Elangovan told ANI.

One of the three accountants of Jayalalithaa’s Kodanad estate found was found dead on Monday.

Dinesh Kumar was found hanging from the ceiling of his house in Kothagiri under mysterious circumstances, police said.

Kumar's body was taken to Kothagiri Government hospital, police said.

The Kodanad estate is a tea estate in Tamil Nadu which was owned by late J Jayalalithaa. The estate, which is worth thousands of crores and spread over 900 acres was used by Jayalalithaa as a retreat.  
 
The estate figures in the disproportionate assets case involving jailed AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala and former chief minister Jayalalithaa who died in December last year, among others. 
 
A string of murders in 2017 is connected with Jayalalithaa’s Kodanad estate.

Jayalalithaa’s driver, identified as Kanakaraj, was found dead in Salem. The former driver was also a suspect in the murder of a security guard in the Kodanad estate on April 24.
 
According to reports, he died in a road accident when his bike was hit by a speeding car.

A security guard, Om Bahadur,  found murdered by a gang at Jayalalithaa's Kodanad estate bungalow. One of the suspects later died in a road mishap. 
 
Another suspect in the murder was seriously injured in a road accident, that left his wife and daughter dead.
