Indian Army: Two to three Pakistani soldiers killed in retaliatory fire in Rajouri district

The Indian Army on Tuesday said at least two to three Pakistani army men had been killed in retaliatory fire in Rajouri district.
An army officer told PTI that the Pakistan army had resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in the Noushera sector early morning, and the heavy exchange of fire continued till late evening.
The Indian Army claimed their positions were targeted with mortar bombs and small arms fire and the Indian troops responded with a "befitting response" to the Pakistani side.
"We have inputs that two to three Pakistani soldiers have been killed in the retaliatory firing by our men," an army officer told PTI here. There was no loss of life or injury on the Indian side.
Meanwhile, in R S Pura sector of Jammu district six female members of a family were injured in cross-border shelling.
The family had been hit by a mortar shell fire by the Pakistan Rangers in their house in Suchetgarh sector.
"They are being given first aid at R S Pura hospital after which they will be shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital here shortly," deputy commissioner (Jammu) Simrandeep Singh said.
