The death toll has increased to nine in Maharashtra's Latur district after seven workers died on Monday from inhaling poisonous gas while cleaning a tank at the Kirti Oil Mills.
The workers had fallen unconscious after they entered the tank to clean it. A few others went after them when they failed to come out.
Two more bodies were recovered late last night, a fire brigade official told PTI.
One worker was admitted to Vivekanand hospital in Latur.
A probe has been started.
