Congress walks out from Lok Sabha over govt formation in Goa, Manipur

The Congress staged a walkout from the Lok Sabha this morning over the issue of government formation in Goa and Manipur.  

The Congress had earlier moved an adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha, ANI reported.

The Congress Legislative Party is meeting at Congress house in Panjim, Goa today. All Congress MLAs along with Digvijaya Singh will meet the Goa governor Mridula Sinha after the meeting. 

Meanwhile, the BJP issued a whip to its Lok Sabha members asking them to be present in the House today.

The bitter poll battle has entered India's highest court with the Supreme Court set to hear the Congress' petition challenging the appointment of Manohar Parrikar as Goa chief minister even as Parrkikar is due to be sworn in as the chief minister today evening.

The Supreme Court will hear the Congress petition at 11am (Indian Standard Time) today
