Censor board chief Pahlaj Nihalani sacked

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairman Pahlaj Nihalani has been sacked. 

News reports said Prasoon Joshi was to take over from him. 

Nihalani has found himself embroiled in a number of controversies since taking over as chairman of the CBFC. 

Most recently he objected to the movie Lipstick Under My Burkha because it was "lady oriented". 

He also wanted the word "intercourse" cut from the movie When Harry met Sejal. 

And he wanted the words "Gujarat" and "cow" cut from the documentary The Argumentative Indian on Amartya Sen.
