Black bucks case: Salman Khan appears in court, signs bail bond of Rs 20,000

Bollywood star Salman Khan today appeared before the district and sessions court in Jodhpur for verification of bail bonds in the Arms Act case related to black bucks killing in 1998.
The actor was asked to appear before the court on July 6 but could not come to court due to security reasons. Salman signed the bail bond of Rs 20,000.
The court had summoned the actor after the state government challenged his acquittal in the infamous black buck case in which the actor along with others - Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam were accused of killing two black bucks in a forest in 1998.
Salman Khan was arrested in the same year but had got bail soon after, the trial has been continuing since then.
In India, hunting of black bucks is illegal under Schedule I of the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972.
