Atrocities on Pakistani Hindus have multiplied manyfold since India's surgical strikes on "terror launchpads" along the Line of Control dividing India and Pakistan on the night of September 28, prompting a flight of them to India, Indian news agency ANI reported today.
About 216 Pakistani Hindus arrived in India yesterday in the western Indian city of Jodhpur. They travelled to India on the Thar Express, an international train that connects Karachi in Pakistan to Jodhpur in India.
The Pakistani Hindus came on pilgrim visas, but say they have no intention of returning.
ANI reported that 31 Pakistani Hindus came to India last week. It reported two of them as saying they would rather die than return to Pakistan.
The Pakistani Hindus will for now live in camps for displaced Pakistanis.
