No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far
At least two security personnel and a civilian were killed and five people injured on Wednesday in a suicide bomb attack at a security check post leading to the Kabul International Cricket Stadium, Afghan channel Tolo News reported.
The suicide bomber blew himself up during the Shpageeza Cricket League match. All the cricket players are reportedly safe, Tolo News quoted the Afghan Cricket Board as saying.
Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danesh said two policemen and one civilian were killed and five people wounded.
A statement in Bosnian on Islamic State's Amaq news agency said a suicide attack had been carried out on members of the Afghan security forces in Kabul, although it was not immediately clear whether the statement referred to the same incident.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
The explosion occurred at about 3.45pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The match was stopped immediately.
The Shpageeza Cricket League season, which commenced on September 11 at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium, continues till September 22.
Kabul has been the victim of a spate of deadly suicide bombings in the past year.
