22 states remove check posts after GST

As many as 22 states have done away with checks post within three days of the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax, PTI reported. 

It added that a few states were in the process of doing so.

The state border check posts check for local tax compliance, but they also lead to delays. 

PTI reported that the states which have done away with check posts include Delhi, UP, Bihar, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu.
