100 militants killed, 89 wounded during combing operations in Afghanistan

At least 100 militants were killed and 89 others wounded in 24 hours of the combing operations led by Afghan security forces.
The operations were conducted with support from Afghan air and artillery forces in areas of Nangarhar, Ghazni, Kandahar, Daykundi, Kunduz and Balkh among others.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the militants sustained heavy casualties in the Domana district of eastern Paktika province as 47 insurgents were killed here.
Some weapons and war equipment have been seized from the region.
The MoD press release said that 15 Afghan National Army soldiers were martyred during the operations.
