1 protester among 3 soldiers, 2 militants killed in J&K attack

An Indian Army captain and two other soldiers were today killed as terrorists attacked an Army camp in Kashmir's Kupwara district.

Two militants have bee killed by the security forces. Reports said a protester was also killed in the clash with the Army while demanding bodies of terrorists killed during the encounter.



The encounter took place at Panjgaon at Chowkibal when militants, suspected to be of terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad stormed the battalion camp which is in-charge of road opening duties on the crucial roads in this area, PTI reported.

The Indian Army officer who has been killed in the attack has been identified as Captain Ayush, PTI quoted official sources as saying.
