After weeks of speculations and rumours, OnePlus has finally announced that its new flagship smartphone - OnePlus 5 - will be unveiled to the world on June 20.
The company, however, has scheduled the India launch of the new flagship for June 22. The new phone will be unveiled in India at an event in Mumbai. The launch event will be hosted by the global leadership team of OnePlus, along with the OnePlus founder and CEO, Pete Lau.
Along with members of the media, the event in Mumbai is open to OnePlus fans, who can attend the invitation-only-event by purchasing tickets from the OnePlus store on June 12.
As the company has already confirmed, the OnePlus 5 will come packed with a Snapdragon 835 processor and carry a fingerprint sensor in the front.
Going by the camera sample shared by the company, the upcoming OnePlus phone is expected to come with a much-improved camera. As rumours suggest, the OnePlus 5 will come with a 23 megapixel rear camera and a 16 megapixel front camera.
Besides, the phone is believed to be launched in a wide range of new and vibrant colours. While the company has not officially said anything on this, a teaser post on social media hints at the same.
Other features of the phone may include 5.5-inch display, 8 GB RAM and Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. Speculations are rife that the phone will come in two storage options - 64 GB and 128 GB.
