Update at 07:38: "We have begun rolling out the software update.  Timing may vary by region.  We encourage OnePlus 5 users to download the update.  If users haven't received a notification, check for the update by going to Settings > System Updates," says OnePlus in a fresh official statement. Earlier the company said that it was in the process of rolling out a software update to fix the bug.

The newly launched OnePlus 5 smartphone, which has caught the imagination of many with its impressive specs, has been facing software glitches including issues regarding scrolling the screen and audio recording bugs.

The smartphone has also come under scrutiny for another glitch as it reboots every time an emergency call is made from the phone, a report in the Forbes said.

OnePlus has said that it has fixed the issue and will come out with a software update shortly.

In an earlier statement, OnePlus said, "We have been in touch with the customer and have tested a software update that has resolved the issue. We will be rolling out the software update shortly".

OnePlus 5 is a flagship offering from OnePlus and was launched in June.
