Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Jr

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Jr, the grandson of former Pakistan prime minister and president Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, jumped into the media spotlight recently when he said he wanted to raise awareness about Muslim homosexuals. Unlike the rest of most of his family, he is not a politician but an artist, working on poetry, the visual arts, and theatre. Zulfikar is currently working on art performances to protest against US President Donald Trump’s visa ban. He is also known for his performances as a drag queen at a San Francisco gay bar.

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was president of Pakistan from 1971-73 and prime minister from 1973-77. He founded the PPP. He was executed after a controversial trial in 1970 over the murder of a political rival. He remains one of Pakistan's most controversial political figures. (Others)

Murtaza Bhutto

Mir Ghulam Murtaza Bhutto was Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's son. He was the founder of the organisation al-Zulfiqar. He was involved in the murder of politician Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi and also the 1981 hijacking of a Pakistan International Airlines flight. The hijacking went on for 13 days.
He was sentenced to death by a military court in absentia while he was in exile in Afghanistan. Upon his return in 1993, Benazir got him arrested. He was killed in a police encounter. (Twitter)

Fatima Bhutto

Unlike the rest of her family, Fatima Bhutto, Murtaza's daughter from his first marriage, did not take to politics. She is a poet and a writer. Her first work 'Whispers of the Desert' was published when she was 15. Her other works include 'Songs of Blood and Sword', 'A Memoir' and 'The Shadow of The Crescent Moon'. (Others)

Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari

Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari is Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari's daughter. She was born in 1980 while Benazir was prime minister. Bakhtawar is a politician, socialite, and philanthropist. She has been active in areas related to healthcare. (Twitter)

Ghinwa Bhutto

Ghinwa Bhutto, a Lebanese-Syrian, is the second wife of Murtaza Bhutto. She heads the Pakistan Peoples Party. (Shaheed Bhutto) (Twitter)

Bilawal

Bilawal is the first of Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari’s three children. After Benazir’s assassination, Bilawal became chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party. He was seen as the young face of Pakistan politics. He left to study at Oxford soon after and returned in 2011. After coming back, he asked the Interpol to issue a 'red warrant' against former dictator Pervez Musharraf over the assassination of Benazir. He has also talked about taking 'all of Kashmir' from India. (Others)

Benazir

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's daughter, Benazir, was the first woman to head a Muslim-majority nation. She was prime minister of Pakistan from 1988-90 and from 1993-96. Benazir sought friendly relations with India. She was assassinated at a campaign rally in 2007. (Others)

Asif Ali Zardari

Benazir Bhutto's husband, Asif Ali Zardari served as President of Pakistan from 2008 to 2013. He is currently co-chairman of the PPP, along with his son Bilawal. (Others)
