Women claim the night for themselves, refusing to give into the patriarchal pressure to stay back at home.
Daughter of an IAS officer, Varnika Kundu, who was allegedly followed by Harayan BJP chief's son was blamed and questioned by the Haryana BJP Deputy President Ramveer Bhatti, "why the woman was out so late?". By then, women on social media are purposely tweeting their photos in the midnight. One such brave girl, Samyukta Hornad tweeted "#AintNoCinderella Sun maybe gone... but we are here to rise. :) #DontCurseDarkness". (Twitter)
Varnika slammed BJP leader Ramveer Bhatti by saying, "Not your business if I stay out late". Braveheart Poorva Sharma tweeted, "Guess what BJP, it's midnight and I'm outside and this party is rad. You want me to stay home to be safe, your bad. #AintNoCinderella". (Twitter)
Pooja, a young vivacious girl from Banglore tweeted, "Dear regressive India, I will do as I please, night or day. Don't ever think you have the right to stop me #AintNoCinderella". Interestingly, she got a comment on her post which reads, "This attitude got y'all rap- nevermind." What could possibly this person meant by 'rap-' or 'rape'? (Twitter)
