BBC journalist David Dimbleby was 'struck' by a fly on air today as he was announcing the British election results.

Dimbleby quickly swatted the fly away on air saying,"there is a fly in the studio which is rather irritating me, it has been irritating me for the last three days but it still keeps coming around and flies into my ears."

The fly began trending on social media with the Twitter handle @BBCElectionFly, the bio read: "Trolling David Dimbleby's head. Live on TV. Getting a good buzz"
