R&B singer Chris Brown says he is sure he will be acquitted after being accused of threatening a woman with a “deadly weapon”, Indian news agency PTI reported today.

Last week, the musician was arrested after a woman accused him of pulling a gun on her at his residence in Los Angeles.

Brown, however, has maintained he is innocent and cannot wait for “the truth” to be revealed, reported ABC News.

"I cannot wait till the truth comes to light about this incident and this situation. You know, because my character's been defaced and who I am as a person and (my) integrity.I'm glad all my real supporters know me, and know the truth and see the truth," he said.

Brown is expected to appear in court on September 20.
