Hollywood actor Brad Pitt has officially responded to Angelina Jolie's petition for divorce and has sought joint custody of their six children, media reports claimed Saturday.
CNN reported that the 52-year-old actor cited irreconcilable differences and is seeking joint and physical custody of their children in the divorce documents.
He has also asked the judge for more time to sort out the property issues between the couple, CNN reported.
Angelina Jolie had asked for sole physical custody of their children in her divorce petition.
The actress, 41, reportedly filed for divorce from Pitt on September 15, a day after he abused their children on a flight. The FBI recently questioned the actress at length over the incident.
The Los Angeles Police Department and the LA County Department of Children and Family Services are also investigating the allegations of child abuse.
Pitt has denied abusing his children.
Pitt and Jolie, who reportedly began dating on the sets of Mr & Mrs Smith in 2005, got married in 2014.
