Live Gujarat election leads: BJP: 84| Congress: 80| Others: 2

Majority of exits polls have predicted state elections results to swing in BJP's favours. BJP's win in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh will establish party's reign over 19 Indian states.

The results of the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh will be announced at 8 am today. The two key opponents in the state are chief minister Virbhadra Singh and BJP chief ministerial candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal

Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections: Counting of votes begin, BJP takes early lead in both states

Counting of votes for the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections began today amid high security.  According to early leads just in, BJP is leading in 52 seats with the Congress close behind leading in 35 seats, others(Independents, small parties) are leading in 2 seats.
