The Delhi Police have arrested a man who allegedly defrauded millions from several online shopping sites.
Shivam, 26, who was working after completing his hotel management apparently took advantage of online companies' policies on customer service.
The e-commerce sites have a policy of refunding their customer's amount in case they do not receive the product that they have ordered.
Two months back the 26-year-old man executed a well-devised plan and deceived several e-commerce sites.
"The boy would order mobile phones online, and then claim that the delivery box did not include the mobile phone. He later used to demand a refund for his delivery," Milind Dumre, DCP from North West Delhi said.
The police also said that Shivam used to order only expensive handsets which he would later sell on different online sites.
According to the police, Shivam ordered 225 mobiles in two months. He also received the refund for 127 orders. The entire order amounted to Rs 67 lakh from which he earned Rs 52 lakh.
