The deadly Blue Whale game has allegedly claimed another victim in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh.
17-year-old Satvik Pandey allegedly committed suicide by standing before a train while clicking selfies.
According to Satvik's uncle, he left the house at around 9pm for the station on his two-wheeler. The vehicle was parked near the tracks and Satvik allegedly committed suicide at 11pm.
The boy's body was found on the railway tracks on Sunday morning. CCTV installed near the railway crossing captured the entire episode.
According to friends, the boy, a 11th grader and resident of Futera Ward, was under the influence of the game and was encouraging his peers to also take the Blue Whale challenge. His friends were aware of the consequences and warned Satvik against it.
However, till now, there is no proof that the Blue Whale Challenge is the reason for his death.
The police have sent the victim's phone to cyber forensics for further investigation and are exploring all possible angles. In the past, another teenager in Madhya Pradesh had attempted suicide after taking the Blue Whale challenge.
Satvik's father is a clerk in a government department and his mother is a school teacher. The parents have no idea about the boy's involvement in the game.
According to Google data, India ranks first for highest Blue Whale related searches worldwide.
