Rocket lands on Indian embassy premises in Kabul, no casualties reported

Panicked gripped the Indian embassy in Kabul as a rocket landed on its premises Monday night causing minor damage to a structure at the rear of the embassy compound. 

According to Raveesh Kumar, official spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs, the incident caused no fire or casualties.  

''Our Charge d' Affairs informs that all Embassy employees are safe,'' he added.

Till now, no outfit has claimed the attack, even though the Taliban and Haqqani Network have carried out similar strikes in the past.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj also tweeted about the incident. 

She said the rocket clipped the top of the three-storied ITBP barracks. But that there were no casualties and that all Indians and staff were safe.
