The Indian Republic Day or January 26 is a long holiday with the national holiday falling on Friday -- acting as a perfect release date for Bollywood films. Harping on this, Siddharth Malhotra's "Aiyaari" and Akshay Kumar's "PadMan" was due for a release.

With "Padmavat" releasing on January 25, the Bollywood calendar year has gone for a toss.

Keeping its original release date, Akshay Kumar starrer "PadMan" will continue to release on Republic Day and clash with the one-day prior release of Deepika Padukone-Shahid Kapoor-Ranveer Singh starrer "Padmavat".

However, Neeraj Pandey's film starring Manoj Bajpayee, Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh will avoid a clash with two big-budget films like "PadMan" and "Padmavat" and release next month.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh broke the news on Twitter and wrote, " It's Official! Aiyaary shifted to 9th February 2018. Neeraj Pandey directs..."

Aiyaary will now end up releasing on the same date as Anushka Sharma's home production "Pari", which will be her first film release post marriage.
