The police shot at a man who was trying to cross over the wall of a high-security Hindon airbase on Tuesday midnight.

The man was shot in his left leg after he ignored the warnings of security personnel trying to stop him.

He has been admitted to hospital for treatment.

Sujeet, 25, from Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh was attempting to enter the air force station located near Delhi.

The airbase had earlier received an alert of a possible attack by some terrorist outfits, an official stated on condition of anonymity.

Investigations are being conducted to find if the man is having any links to any terrorist outfit.

The 25-year-old, on the other hand, claims that he did not have anything to eat and he just wanted to sit there.
