A toddler dies on her way to the hospital as the ambulance carrying her remained stuck in a traffic jam for nearly half an hour. The one and a half-year-old toddler passed away as the ambulance failed to reach the hospital due to a wedding procession that caused a road-block. The incident occurred near Damoh Ghanta Ghar in Madhya Pradesh.

Satish Chand Saxena, IG Sagar Range expressed regret on the unfortunate event, "have taken cognizance of the incident and will take action. We will ensure vehicles and ambulances get a clear way during such processions in the future," he told media.

Reports suggest that the toddler was stung by a scorpion and was being taken to the district hospital, Damoh from a village situated roughly 30kms away. The ambulance carrying her was about half a kilometre away from the hospital when they got stuck in a traffic jam.
