Madhya Pradesh polls: Congress releases first list of candidates

The Congress on Saturday released its first list of candidates, a total of 155, for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly polls, news agency PTI reported.

According to reports, the nominees include Ajay Singh, the leader of opposition in the state, and former Union minister Suresh Pachouri.

Former chief minister Digvijay Singh's son Jaivardhan Singh and brother Lakshman Singh have also been fielded from Raghogarh and Chachoura seats respectively.

Son of former chief minister late Arjun Singh, Ajay Singh, will fight from Chruhat seat.

Madhya Pradesh assembly has a total of 230 assembly seats, the state will go to polls on November 28. BJP, the ruling party since 2003, had released its first list of 177 candidates on Friday.
