BJP leader Suraj Pal Amu is at it again.
The Haryana BJP media coordinator had earlier announced a Rs 10-crore bounty for anybody who beheaded Padmavati director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and lead actress Deepika Padukone.
Rajput groups have been agitating against the release of the movie
On Tuesday he said they would run a "swachhta abhiyan" (cleanliness campaign) in every single cinema hall in the country. And that the Rajputs and the country's youth had the power to set every single movie screen in the country on fire.
Hindustan ke saare cinema halls mein swachhta abhiyan chalaenge, ek-ek screen ko aag lagane ki takat rakhta hai Kshatriya samaj aur iss desh ka naujawan: Suraj Pal Amu, BJP #Padmavati pic.twitter.com/cKmQXKzJwP— ANI (@ANI) November 21, 2017
Amu had been ordered by the BJP Monday to apologise for his offer of the bounty. The party had also issued him a show-cause notice.
The offer of a bounty -- of Rs 5 crore -- had originally been made by a man from Meerut called Thakur Abhishek Som.
.Amu doubled the offer to Rs 10 crore during an Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha function in New Delhi on Sunday.
Amu reportedly also threatened to break actor Ranveer Singh's legs if he did not take back his words of support for the film and its director.
